OO Spotlight : Ivar Ensminger

When Ivar Ensminger first considered being a Prime Time Owner Operator, he was also thinking about becoming a long haul trucker. “I like people too much, though,” he reflected on his final decision between the two, “so the idea of sitting alone for hours at a time lost its appeal when I found this opportunity!” Ivar started as an Owner Operator last May, and continually goes beyond the call of duty in his service to his Passengers. “With my particular background I’m able to have an intelligent conversation with just about anyone, and in this job you meet just about everyone!” “I also picked up a CD of music from the 30’s and 40’s while visiting the Queen Mary, and it’s amazing how many people comment about it, as I play it softly in the background. I always have a fresh newspaper, as well.” You can tell that people enjoy Ivar’s service, because he gets a lot of bookings on his Prime Time personal reservation website, which just happens to have his shining, smiling face on it! The best thing about Ivar’s service, if you believe what he tells us, is his persistence. “I’m going to do everything I can to make my Passengers happy, and I get better every day because of it.” Persistence has always served Ivar well. He told us, “I’m a grandfather of a wonderful 14 month old granddaughter, a father of two beautiful sons and a husband of a loving wife of 44 years, but this would have never happened without persistence . . . I had to ask her to marry me 7 times before she said yes!” “I think I know what my Passengers want, because I’m a traveler, too!” He told us about his recent vacation to Hawaii. In his spare time he also enjoys woodworking, flying airplanes, and, he said, “I enjoy the flexibility of this job that allows me to do all kinds of things.” Everyone knows you always get the best service from the owner, and with Prime Time there’s an owner in every van.
